0.1.0 has released!

3rd March 2026

After roughly 4 months of development (but more like 2) I'm happy to announce the release of 0.1.0, which is the first major version of the game.
0.1 is clearly the most basic release of the game there will be but the absolute basics of being able to complete a time trial is there. I have added some basic quality of life stuff such as being able to rebind controls, fullscreen toggle, debug menu, hide the HUD, etc. However I do plan on adding more stuff in the future such as GUI scaling, controller glyph overrides, tilt controls for mobile, flipped controls, facing direction the golf cart, etc.

The plans for the future

The QoL changes above are planned but also in the future there is more gameplay elements planned such as collectable items, splitscreen multiplayer racing, another map, a leaderboard for time trials are planned for the next couple of updates. I also want to start work on the next minigame in the next couple of months, I'm not sure which minigame I'll pick next. I also want to improve optimisation as performance on the PS Vita and other similiarly specced devices is not satisfactory as it drops below 60 fps fairly frequently.

Changes since 2026-02-2%

Here is probably a bit of an incomplete list of the changes since 2026-02-25, I didn't actually write this down because I was expecting my self to remember all of them and well I've failed at that

  • Disabled the Hide HUD and Debug buttons on mobile because the don't work
  • Added lily pads, long grass, leaves and water streams to swamplands
  • Hidden the controller glyphs for iOS and Android for now

The game is available to download at the main page and there might be plans to add the game to other distrubution platforms in the future. (yes the game actually released on the 28th but I've only now made this post because I'm lazy)
